The institution finished in 984th position, placing it among the world’s top 1,000 universities.
The University has been featured for years in internationally recognised rankings, including the global rankings of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and the Times Higher Education (THE). “Our goal is to increase the international visibility of our university by using as many global platforms as possible. This year, we registered with the RUR database for the first time. Given that the ranking uses a different methodology, achieving such an excellent result and securing a place among the top 1,000 institutions is particularly valuable for us,” stated Eszter Lukács, Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations at the University.
She highlighted that ranking among the world’s top 800 universities in indicators related to the third mission of higher education is a significant achievement for the institution, thanks to its stable financial background, strong corporate partnerships and continuously strengthening ecosystem of research, development and innovation. „We have also made substantial improvements to our research and publication indicators, and our international partnerships continue to develop dynamically. The RUR world rankings confirm this progress and provide valuable insight into the effectiveness of our work,” she added.
The Vice-President emphasised that these achievements were made possible by the University’s dedicated lecturers and researchers, who have published their scientific results in renowned international journals and represented the institution with distinction in the global higher education arena. She also noted that this successful performance is the result of coordinated efforts across numerous organisational units within the university.
“I would also like to express my gratitude for the dedicated work of the colleagues of the University Library and Archives, the Centre for Rankings and Publications Management operating within it, the Doctoral and Habilitation Centre, and the Centre for Language and Culture” she said. “The support available to our lecturers and researchers has played a significant role in this achievement and in enhancing our institution’s scientific performance. This includes substantial scientific scholarships, publication support programmes that provide financial assistance, and the wide range of research services offered by the Library.”
