Széchenyi István University’s highly successful event, the Job Fair, connects students with employers and economic actors of the region each semester. At the fair held on 11 November, many young people once again established contacts with representatives of participating companies. Employers offered nearly one hundred internship and job opportunities for the University’s students.
The Job Fair of Széchenyi István University provides opportunities for students, graduates, young professionals and skilled individuals to build connections with labour market players. Major employers of the region and the University’s industrial partners once again presented themselves at their own stands. Young visitors could engage in informal conversations with company representatives and learn about current job openings and internship opportunities.
“At our autumn event, visitors could meet directly with around thirty exhibitors. Our partners included key players of the economy, such as Audi Hungaria and Rába, but also public institutions such as the Ministry of Construction and Transport, the Győr-Moson-Sopron County Government Office and the Military National Security Service. In addition, our world-class student teams – including the Arrabona Racing Team and SZEngine – also presented themselves. The Tempus Public Foundation provided information on student mobility programmes, particularly the Pannonia Scholarship Programme,” said Réka Bende, career consultant at Széchenyi István University.

“As a business informatics student, I am studying in a dual educational programme. Since my first semester, I have been working at Audi Hungaria in the field of controlling as a digitalisation intern. As I will soon graduate, I consider exploring my career options thoroughly vital,” said Alexandra Kántor from Győr. She added that both the University and the dual educational programme model have given her a great deal, as she gained valuable corporate experience and was able to apply her classroom knowledge in practice. She also learnt a lot at Audi, which complemented her academic studies well. “The Job Fair is an extremely useful event, as I could speak with representatives from many companies. Although I already knew several corporate partners, I have now discovered many new opportunities,” she noted.

Árpád Vanczó, a second-year vehicle engineering student from Miskolc, said: “I came to the event because I am looking for internship opportunities. We have not yet visited all the stands, but I have already found something that caught my attention, so I hope to find the right one by the end of the day.” He attended the fair with Dávid Ballabás, who, after completing his undergraduate studies in Engineering Management, is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Logistics Engineering at Széchenyi István University. “I am nearing the end of my studies, so I am mainly interested in open job positions. I have attended the event every semester, as it is an excellent opportunity for students to meet innovative companies in the region before graduation and learn about the opportunities they offer,” shared the student from Lábatlan.
Those who could not attend the Job Fair this time are also encouraged to visit the event’s website, where they can find around eighty open positions and internship offers from participating companies. The site also features a compilation by the University’s Human Resource Counselling master’s students, offering tips and advice for successful job interviews, as well as for writing CVs and cover letters.
