If it’s Weekend, it’s Bridge: Lmen Prala, Kiscsillag and Deák Bill on stage at SZE’s Club

There is a concert every weekend until Christmas, and next year’s calendar is also packed at the Bridge Student and Teacher Club: during the winter season, those who choose Széchenyi István University’s entertainment venue for their weekend programme can meet some of the country’s best pop music performers. The Prala Live tour will also stop by in Győr, Mikee Mykanic arrives with his Szupercsillagparaszt production, Deák Bill Gyula will perform, and the traditional year-end Aurora concert will once again take place. According to club manager Péter Németh-Bende, numerous acts have already been booked for next summer’s open-air season.

“Until 30 December, our upper floor is packed with events, and there are barely any free weekends left for spring either. We are continuously filling the lower floor with performers as well, so two-level nights will not be uncommon. We always select artists in a way that avoids overlap in style between the two spaces, ensuring that everyone finds something to their taste,” highlighted Péter Németh-Bende, who mentioned 28 December as an example, when Kiscsillag take to the upstairs stage, while a Nirvana tribute band energises the audience downstairs.

The club season also promises to be enticing at Bridge, with performers following one another all the way to New Year’s Eve: as part of the SzuperCsillagParaszt tour, Mikee Mykanic will perform, returning guests Moby Dick and Leander Kills will also take the stage, Aurora and Down For Whatever are coming, Lmen Prala will electrify the audience with a special live set, and the year will be closed by Bill Gyula Deák at the club.

“Based on recent experience, tribute bands have been very successful, so from time to time we will hold thematic nights where fans perform the songs of their favourite bands. In addition, on our smaller stage downstairs we can also host semi-amateur or emerging acts, giving opportunities to various underground bands or talented local groups, further enriching our programme,” added Péter Németh-Bende.

Looking back on the outdoor season, the manager expressed his satisfaction: despite the challenging economic environment, attendance figures show slight growth, which is encouraging. This was also supported by the fact that several performers with strong public appeal were invited, especially during the autumn post-season, such as Follow The Flow, Beton.Hofi and Margaret Island, who also stopped in Győr on their farewell tour.

Győr’s permanent open-air stage, Bridge Garden, will once again welcome lovers of pop music next year.

“Performers enjoy the venue, and several artists told us during the summer that we should already schedule them for the following year. Besides our regular acts, we aim to bring in some of the big names of the Hungarian pop music scene, especially those who have not yet performed here, so it is worth keeping an eye on our events,” concluded the manager.
