Experiences at SZE

Reflecting on my academic and professional journey, a continuous pursuit of technological innovation and a deep understanding of globalization have been the driving forces. During my undergraduate studies, I chose automotive engineering as my major, laying a solid foundation in this field. Throughout my education, I not only gained comprehensive theoretical knowledge in vehicle design and manufacturing but also actively participated in various practical projects, accumulating invaluable hands-on experience.

Starting a career at BYD

With the support of my University, I had the opportunity to represent Chinese students by interviewing the mayor of Győr, Hungary. This cross-cultural exchange experience further solidified my determination to drive the global development of Chinese automotive technology. Upon graduation, I was fortunate to join the Chinese automotive group BYD in Komárom, Hungary, as a technical and process engineer for electric buses. This position allowed me to apply the knowledge I acquired during my university studies to real-world projects and to engage directly in the forefront of innovation in new energy vehicle technology. During my time at BYD, I was responsible for the design, manufacturing, and process improvement of electric buses, playing a significant role in every step from concept to finished product. Through the collaborative efforts of our team, the buses I helped design and manufacture are now operating in several European countries, contributing significantly to green mobility. In Hungary alone, over 60 electric buses that I participated in creating are in service, with 13 of them in the city of Győr.

Bridging Innovation and Efficiency

Through my work, I gradually realized that the success of the automotive industry relies not only on excellent product design and manufacturing processes but also on an efficient and robust supply chain system. To gain a more comprehensive understanding of this critical area, I decided to pursue a master’s degree in supply chain management while continuing my work. My graduate studies opened up new horizons for me, enabling me to delve deeply into the theories and practices of supply chain management, which I then began applying in my professional work. During this period, I contributed to several major projects related to BYD’s expansion into the European market, including the establishment of sales networks, production bases, factory operations management, and the construction of supply chain systems and industrial chains. I have gained substantial practical experience in supply chain management, further deepening my understanding of the global development of the automotive industry. Throughout this journey of growth, I am deeply grateful for the education and opportunities provided by my alma mater.

Looking to the future

The University not only equipped me with solid professional knowledge but also offered me abundant practical opportunities and a broad development platform. Looking ahead, I will continue to pursue my passion for technological innovation and maintain a keen insight into industry development, steadfastly advancing towards higher career goals. I believe that through continued effort, I will make even greater contributions to the future of sustainable transportation and green energy.
