A key element of the professional cooperation between Széchenyi István University and Audi Hungaria is the Audi Development Camp, which will once again welcome the engineers of the future to Győr in the summer of 2026. This international, English-taught short study programme will take place between 20 and 27 July, offering students the opportunity to develop their skills through real industrial challenges. Applications are open until 30 April.

Over recent years, the Audi Development Camp has become one of the flagship projects of the close partnership between Széchenyi István University and Audi Hungaria, which operates a vehicle manufacturing plant, engine plant, development centre and service centre in Győr. During the programme, young people from all over the world work on real industrial challenges while learning the profession from renowned academic and corporate experts.

A distinctive feature of the programme is that each year students work in international teams on a task defined directly by Audi Hungaria. This year, the focus will be on the development and implementation of a complex robotics solution. The practice-oriented programme welcomes applicants whose studies involve robotics and programming (Python or C++), information technology, mechatronics, or vehicle and mechanical engineering. The official language of the camp is English, enabling participants to further develop their communication skills.

The project process follows a structured engineering approach, guiding students from problem definition and system concept development through simulation and implementation to validation. The aim is to create innovative yet feasible solutions that meet contemporary industrial expectations.

At the beginning of the programme, running from 20 to 27 July, participants will be prepared by experienced lecturers at Széchenyi István University, thereby laying the foundations for successful project work. Throughout the week, students will receive continuous mentoring, enabling them not only to deepen their technical knowledge but also to develop systems-level thinking.

A special feature of the camp is that teams have the opportunity to present their results to experts from the University and Audi Hungaria, with the winning team receiving exclusive prizes and experiences. The programme also includes a factory visit, providing students with a first-hand insight into the operations of the Győr-based company.

Széchenyi István University provides accommodation for participants on the Győr campus, and offers community and team-building activities in the afternoons to support networking. The participation fee is €365, which includes accommodation, tuition, lunch, catering at the opening and closing events, an official T-shirt, a micro-credential certificate upon successful completion, mentoring, learning materials, and professional programmes. Based on performance in the admission interviews, applicants ranking in the top seven per cent will receive a scholarship.

The application deadline is 30 April 2026. Those interested may apply by completing the registration form and paying the €15 registration fee. Based on their CVs, selected students will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the mentors and organisers during online interviews. The most suitable candidates will then receive an invitation to the programme. Further information about the camp is available on the Audi Development Camp website.
