HR Technical Officer – Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public
Academic Journey in Hungary
After leaving my country, Laos, I spent five enriching years at Széchenyi István University in Győr, from 2018 to 2023. During this period, I pursued my undergraduate studies in International Relations and later advanced my academic journey by earning a master’s degree in International Economy and Business. This comprehensive education has provided me with a solid foundation in both global affairs and economic strategy, equipping me with the skills necessary for my future professional endeavours.
Building a career
I have always aspired to build a career that contributes to the development of my country. Shortly after my return, I began working in Business Development at Ernst & Young, one of the Big Four audit firms. During this time, I discovered a strong passion for human resource development. Motivated by this interest, I applied for the position of HR Technical Officer at Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public (BCEL), the largest, most stable, and well-known state-owned bank in Lao PDR. Drawing on the knowledge I acquired from both programmes at Széchenyi István University, I achieved the second-highest score on the entrance exam and secured the top position during the interview stage. Today, I am proud to be working as an HR Officer in the banking industry, successfully realizing my long-held career goal.
Foundations of long-term success
Joining this organization was a significant milestone in my career journey. Although it marked only the beginning, it provided me with extensive training and development opportunities that have greatly enhanced my skills. Being part of such a prestigious institution has enabled me to connect with industry leaders and professionals, significantly broadening my network. Moreover, the stable work environment has offered me job security even in uncertain economic times. My diverse experience in HR, ranging from recruitment to employee relations, has further enriched my professional capabilities.
Gratitude to SZE
I am profoundly grateful to SZE for its pivotal contribution to my country’s development. The invaluable experiences and knowledge I gained there not only enhanced my leadership skills and taught me the importance of teamwork in a multicultural setting but also inspired me to pursue further opportunities in this field.
