National Defence and Science: Senior Honours Awarded to Staff Members of SZE

At an event organised by the Military National Security Service (KNBSZ) to mark the Celebration of Hungarian Science, five staff members of Széchenyi István University were recently recognised.

In acknowledgement of her outstanding professional achievements and long-standing activities in support of national defence, the Minister of Defence awarded Dr Eszter Lukács, Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations of the institution, the “For Defence” Honour, First Class.

Dr Róbert Bartkó, Associate Professor at the Department of Criminal Law of the Deák Ferenc Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, and Professor Gergely Gosztonyi, Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Modern Technology and Cybersecurity Law, received the For Defence” Honour, Second Class.

At the ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Dr Ádám Farkas, Senior Research Fellow at the Department of Modern Technology and Cybersecurity Law, and Lieutenant Colonel Dr László Vikman, Assistant Lecturer of the same department, were presented with the Director General’s Commendation of the KNBSZ for their outstanding research and academic organisational work, which is of significant relevance to the development of national defence and national security.
