Széchenyi István University has announced the launch of eleven new English-taught academic programmes as part of the general admission procedure. From September, all nine faculties will offer programmes taught in English. Both Hungarian and international students are welcome to join these new full-time programmes.

Széchenyi István University has approximately 15,000 students, nearly 1,000 of whom come from around 80 different countries. To strengthen its international community and diversify its academic offerings, the University will introduce eleven new English-taught academic programmes from September 2025. As a result, Hungarian and international applicants will have the opportunity to choose from a total of 54 academic programmes taught in English in the next academic year.

„One of the most important goals of our University is to equip students with the up-to-date knowledge they need to build a successful international career. To this end, we are launching new English-taught programmes in September in areas such as health, economics and social sciences,” said Annabella Bihari, Head of the Centre for International Programmes and Alumni at SZE. She pointed out that the new developments will make English-taught Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes available at all nine faculties of the University from the 2025/2026 academic year, some of which can be completed online.

„In addition to these, our short study programmes will continue to be offered to those who wish to obtain a micro-certificate in a particular discipline. These include the Audi Development Camp, which is almost traditional now in every summer or the one-week Civil Engineering programme with the Chinese Jiaxing University she said. She also emphasized that the continuous expansion of such opportunities is also part of the institution’s plans.
