Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University is a committed partner of the Hungarian chamber system, which celebrated the 175th anniversary of its establishment last year. In the interest of socio-economic cooperation, the Gy\u0151r-based institution supports the competence development of businesses in the region through the joint operation of a company, UniChamb Ltd., while also organises events in collaboration with the chambers. The University maintains particularly close ties with the Gy\u0151r-Moson-Sopron County Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with which it is connected in many ways, including through the Women Leaders\u2019 Club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The approximately twenty-member Club was founded in 2024 with the aim of creating an inspiring professional community to support female leaders in the region in their professional development and in strengthening their role in economic life. The most recent meeting of the Club, which focuses on knowledge transfer and sharing, was hosted by Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University. Participants first visited three of the institution\u2019s laboratories \u2013 the Packaging and Environmental Resistance Testing Laboratory, the Radiofrequency Testing Laboratory and the Road Construction Laboratory \u2013 where experts presented their activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At the most recent event of the Gy\u0151r-Moson-Sopron County Chamber of Commerce and Industry\u2019s Women Leaders\u2019 Club, Dr Eszter Luk\u00e1cs, Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations at Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, also delivered a presentation (Photo: Andr\u00e1s Adorj\u00e1n)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The remainder of the professional visit took place at the University\u2019s Gy\u0151r Innovation Park. The female leaders present gained insight into the institution\u2019s strategic ambitions through Dr Eszter Luk\u00e1cs, Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations, and were also introduced to innovative forms of higher education in a presentation by Kata Farkas N\u00e9methn\u00e9, Head of the University\u2019s Centre for Adult Education and Skills Development Centre. Professor Dr M\u00e1rta Konczosn\u00e9 Szombathelyi \u2013 herself a member of the Club \u2013 gave a presentation entitled\u00a0\u201cTalent Development at the University and Opportunities for Business Engagement\u201d,<\/em>\u00a0while At\u00e9na Vojnovics, Communication and Events Coordinator, spoke to the audience about the activities and development plans of the Gy\u0151r Innovation Park. The programme held at our University marked an important milestone in the sharing of experience, with the laboratory visits proving particularly popular. The presentations also attracted considerable interest, as members were able to learn how they might connect more closely with the University\u2019s activities through talent development, training or corporate engagement,\u201d<\/em> explained Professor Dr M\u00e1rta Konczosn\u00e9 Szombathelyi, President of the University\u2019s Scientific Students\u2019 Associations Council and Talent Support Council.
