Among the several hundred programmes offered by Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University in the general admissions procedure, more than a dozen are being launched for the first time. New master\u2019s programmes are available in the fields of sport, nutrition science, artificial intelligence, agricultural digitalisation, criminology and youth protection, as well as music. In the 2026\/27 academic year, 64 programmes will be available in English, including several popular undergraduate engineering degrees and the ESG Expert Master\u2019s programme.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hungarian applicants may apply via the\u00a0felvi.hu<\/a>\u00a0platform until 15 February to several hundred programmes across Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University\u2019s eleven fields of study (law, economics, social sciences, engineering, agriculture, humanities, information technology, education, health sciences, performing\/visual arts and sports sciences). By browsing the Hungarian\u00a0felveteli.sze.hu<\/a>\u00a0website, prospective students can find numerous new opportunities at both bachelor\u2019s and master\u2019s level alongside the well-known and popular programmes. For example, the full-time Bachelor\u2019s programmes in Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering are now also available in English, and a new four-semester, correspondence Master\u2019s in Engineering Education (Hungarian-taught) has also been launched.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2024, Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University was the first in Hungary to launch the Master\u2019s degree programme \u201cESG \u2013 Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance Expert\u201d<\/em>. From September, this sustainability-focused programme will also be available in English in a full-time format, with classes held in Budapest. Also linked to the Albert K\u00e1zm\u00e9r Faculty in Mosonmagyar\u00f3v\u00e1r is the new Master\u2019s degree in Agricultural Digitalisation, which aims to train professionals capable of planning, managing and optimising crop production and animal husbandry processes in a data-driven manner, relying on artificial intelligence, machine learning, sensor networks and automation technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the first time, applications are being accepted for the four-semester Master\u2019s programme in Artificial Intelligence Informatics (Hungarian-taught) in Gy\u0151r. The programme prepares students for the design, development, integration and operation of AI-based solutions. Graduates can apply this knowledge in, among others, the industrial, public administration, financial, healthcare and service sectors, and may also participate in research and development projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Master\u2019s programme in Nutritional Sciences is available in Hungarian in a correspondence format, while in English it is offered as a full-time programme. Graduates will be able to work, among other things, in the development of foods, dietary supplements, nutritional formulas and medicinal products, as well as in professional consultancy related to the production and distribution of healthy foods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The specialist coach Master\u2019s degree programme is offered in Hungarian in both full-time and correspondence formats, while in English it is launched for the first time at the Gy\u0151r campus as a full-time programme, with specialisations in rowing, handball, basketball, football and swimming. Graduates of the programme may undertake professional coaching, sport development and leadership roles in elite sport and the area of youth training and development. The curriculum places strong emphasis on the integration of digital pedagogical methodologies, sports performance analytics, data-driven training methods and talent management. Students\u2019 professional development is supported by the University\u2019s partnerships with sports associations, clubs and federations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The part-time master\u2019s programme in criminology (Hungarian-taught) is built on the integration of legal, social science, psychological and sociological knowledge. Students become familiar with modern methods of crime research, criminological scientific analysis, crime prevention, victim protection and the penal system. The programme prepares graduates for doctoral studies as well as for employment in the public service, judicial, law enforcement and civil sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Master\u2019s programme in Digital Child Rights and Youth Protection is available in both Hungarian and English. Graduates are able to identify and manage risks appearing in the online environment, such as cyberbullying, data protection breaches, manipulation or illegal content. Professionals in this field may support educational, child protection and legal institutions as advisers and experts, research the social impacts of the digital environment, develop regulatory and strategic proposals on child rights issues, and organise awareness-raising and education programmes to promote safe internet use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Several new programmes are also being launched at the Faculty of Design and Performance Arts, including the Classical Instrumental Artist programmes in cello and oboe in English, the Horn Teacher and Organ Teacher programmes in Hungarian, and the orchestral music performance<\/a> master\u2019s programme in both English and Hungarian. The latter focuses on the education of orchestral musicians. The theoretical education is provided within a traditional university framework, while professional practice takes place in a professional environment through a partnership with the Gy\u0151r Philharmonic Orchestra. Graduates of the orchestral music performance programme may primarily find employment as members or section leaders of various symphony orchestras and musical theatre ensembles, or within different chamber music formations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
