The expansion of the Mosonmagyar\u00f3v\u00e1r site enhances the company\u2019s flexibility and cost efficiency, while also offering a significant logistical advantage. Its favourable location, close to the Austrian and Slovak borders, allows vehicles to be serviced on schedule without unnecessary empty runs. This results in reduced fuel consumption and lower emissions. Each year, this expansion is expected to save approximately 3,700 empty runs and 1.34 million kilometres, thereby preventing the release of nearly 1,000 tonnes of WtW carbon dioxide equivalent \u2013 a significant environmental achievement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The ribbon-cutting ceremony was performed by L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Budai, Technical and Facilities Director of the Waberer\u2019s Group; Gy\u00f6rgy Szucs\u00e1ny, Property Development Director; Zsolt Barna, Chairman and CEO; Dr Istv\u00e1n Nagy, Minister of Agriculture; and Dr B\u00e1lint Filep, President of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University (Photo: Andr\u00e1s Adorj\u00e1n)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The workshop, first opened by Waberer\u2019s twenty years ago in 2005, currently employs twelve professionals, with plans to increase this number to twenty-five in the near future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In 2024, the workshop completed the servicing of nearly 2,700 tractors and 2,100 semi-trailers, operating in two shifts. With the new service building, the current capacity will more than double, enabling the servicing of around 10,000 vehicles annually. In addition to expanding repair capacity, the tyre repair workshop and vehicle washing facilities essential for the smooth operation of the fleet will also double in capacity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The service base plays a key role in supporting the company group\u2019s sustainability goals. The new facility is highly energy-efficient, featuring full LED lighting and a rooftop solar panel system to minimise environmental impact. Equipped with advanced diagnostic tools and a skilled workforce, the workshop ensures the proper maintenance of not only traditional diesel vehicles but also those with alternative powertrains, thus providing comprehensive support for modern and sustainable fleet operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The development does not end here: following the opening of the new service base, the company will immediately begin expanding the available vehicle parking and service areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Zsolt Barna<\/strong>, Chairman and CEO of Waberer\u2019s International, stated: \u201cOver the past two years, Waberer\u2019s property development projects have progressed at an impressive pace; we are rapidly developing and modernising our own sites. Within this framework, the company is offering its service halls in Mosonmagyar\u00f3v\u00e1r and Budapest as training facilities for the University. The collaboration aims to transfer practical knowledge and train the professionals of the future. A new off-campus teaching site will also be established in Mosonmagyar\u00f3v\u00e1r, contributing to the development of skilled professionals in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr B\u00e1lint Filep<\/strong>, President of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, emphasised: \u201cOur University considers it a priority to equip our students with the most up-to-date knowledge and practical experience.
