On 3 September, at its headquarters in Budapest, Waberer\u2019s International Nyrt. signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University in Gy\u0151r. The partnership focuses on developing a skilled workforce for the logistics and automotive sectors, joint research and development projects, and green logistics solutions that promote sustainability.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hungary\u2019s leading logistics service provider, Waberer\u2019s, and Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, a key player in Hungarian higher education, have entered into a strategic partnership. By combining the company\u2019s industry expertise with the University\u2019s academic and research capacity, the parties aim to contribute to the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The partnership places particular emphasis on practice-oriented education, as Waberer\u2019s experts will actively participate in the University\u2019s teaching practices, support students\u2019 professional development as lecturers and supervisors. The agreement also covers the launch of dual and micro-credential programmes, as well as scholarship schemes, thereby strengthening the engineering career model. In addition, students will benefit from hands-on opportunities, acquiring experience in real industry settings \u2013 a key advantage for their future career success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The cooperation goes beyond education, as the parties will also implement joint research and development projects, with a special focus on green logistics. Within the framework of the partnership, the Waberer\u2019s Infrastructure and Logistics Competence Centre will be established to create a practice-oriented knowledge base for logistics and infrastructure development. Plans include setting up Waberer\u2019s research base at the University\u2019s Gy\u0151r Innovation Park. Research activities will concentrate on future-oriented areas such as fleet optimisation, intelligent route planning, data-driven decision support, and the development of environmentally friendly logistics technologies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Another shared objective of Waberer\u2019s and Sz\u00e9chenyi University is to strengthen their international visibility. To this end, they plan to participate jointly in scientific conferences, engage in international research networks, and publish joint research papers to enhance the recognition of Hungary\u2019s logistics profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOur partnership with Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University plays a key role in laying the foundations for future logistics solutions. I am convinced that the practice-oriented training of future professionals will not only accelerate the sector\u2019s development but also strengthen the competitiveness of the Hungarian economy. The combination of Waberer\u2019s professional expertise with the University\u2019s research and innovation capacity creates a knowledge base that can be decisive in the long term.
