{"id":8734,"date":"2025-09-09T11:45:47","date_gmt":"2025-09-09T11:45:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alumni.sze.hu\/en\/?p=8734"},"modified":"2025-09-09T11:46:42","modified_gmt":"2025-09-09T11:46:42","slug":"foundation-day-several-sze-staff-honoured-with-prestigious-awards","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alumni.sze.hu\/en\/foundation-day-several-sze-staff-honoured-with-prestigious-awards\/","title":{"rendered":"Foundation Day: Several SZE Staff Honoured with Prestigious Awards"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Created: 2025.08.21. 16:17<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>To mark the national holiday of 20 August, commemorating the foundation of the Hungarian state, Dr Tam\u00e1s Sulyok, President of the Republic, conferred prestigious state awards upon several leaders and staff members of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In recognition of his outstanding leadership and professional achievements in the field of communications administration, his dedicated teaching, and his activities in support of young people,&nbsp;Dr P\u00e9ter V\u00e1ri, electrical engineer, engineer-economist and lawyer, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Informatics and Electrical Engineering of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, and Deputy Director General of the National Media and Infocommunications Authority, has been awarded the Knight\u2019s Cross of the Order of Merit of Hungary.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/admissions.sze.hu\/images\/News\/2025_08\/aug_20\/SZE_SZEsat_2025_02_21_Adorjan_Andras_07.jpg\" alt=\"Dr P\u00e9ter V\u00e1ri\" title=\"Dr P\u00e9ter V\u00e1ri\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Dr P\u00e9ter V\u00e1ri<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In recognition of his outstanding professional achievements,&nbsp;<strong>Dr Attila Kiss<\/strong>, research chemist, Vice-Dean of the Albert K\u00e1zm\u00e9r Faculty of Agricultural and Food Sciences of the University, and Director of the Agricultural and Food Industry Knowledge Utilisation Centre of the Faculty of Agricultural, Food Sciences and Environmental Management at the University of Debrecen, was awarded the Knight\u2019s Cross of the Hungarian Order of Merit (Civil Division). The same honour was bestowed upon&nbsp;<strong>Dr Andr\u00e1s Unger<\/strong>, dairy industry specialist engineer, retired Director of the Hungarian Dairy Research Institute Ltd., honorary associate professor of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, and President of the Mosonmagyar\u00f3v\u00e1r Town Protection Association.
