The 2025 edition of the THE Impact Rankings, one of the most prestigious university rankings globally, has been released. This list evaluates approximately 2,000 universities from over 100 countries based on their contribution to the United Nations\u2019 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Unlike traditional rankings, the Impact Rankings prioritise social impact over academic publications. It assesses how universities address global challenges such as urban development, justice, education, and environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Despite increasing competition and the growing number of participating institutions, Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University has maintained a consistent presence in the rankings since 2020. This year, SZE improved significantly from last year\u2019s 601\u2013800 range to the 401\u2013600 range. The top three positions in the ranking are held by Western Sydney University (Australia), the University of Manchester (United Kingdom), and Kyungpook National University (South Korea).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The University of Gy\u0151r performed particularly well in three SDG-related subcategories.
