Our mission is to train professionals whose expertise is highly valued by both the economy and society,\u201d<\/em> said Dr Ferenc Friedler, Rector and Vic- President for Scientific Affairs of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, in his ceremonial speech.<\/p>\n\n\n\n He emphasised that the institution provides a modern laboratory infrastructure, international partnerships, and collaborations with leading companies, creating a strong foundation for students and faculty members. \u201cOur Gy\u0151r Innovation Park, Smart Farm in Mosonmagyar\u00f3v\u00e1r, Zalaegerszeg Innovation Park, and Gy\u0151r MedTech Campus all offer unique opportunities where scientific work meets cutting-edge technological developments,\u201d<\/em> he added. The Rector highlighted that the University\u2019s success is largely due to its unique governance and operational model, which enables outstanding efficiency in Hungary. Finally, he expressed gratitude to the University\u2019s leaders and staff for their dedicated contributions to the institution\u2019s growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Following the commemoration, the ceremony continued with the presentation of awards and recognitions. For the first time in the University\u2019s history, the Arraboniensis Distinguished Professor title was awarded. This honour is given to researchers whose work is highly esteemed in the international scientific community and who have made a lasting impact on their field. The award was presented to\u00a0Professor Srinivasan Madhavi from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore, Managing Director of the Energy Research Institute and the Office of Sustainability, as well as Co-Director of the Institute for Circular Economy Research<\/strong>.
