{"id":8145,"date":"2024-09-03T12:14:55","date_gmt":"2024-09-03T12:14:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/alumni.sze.hu\/en\/?p=8145"},"modified":"2024-09-03T12:14:56","modified_gmt":"2024-09-03T12:14:56","slug":"eusa-rowing-2024-sze-takes-second-hungary-tops-medal-table","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alumni.sze.hu\/en\/eusa-rowing-2024-sze-takes-second-hungary-tops-medal-table\/","title":{"rendered":"EUSA Rowing 2024: SZE Takes Second, Hungary Tops Medal Table"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The Hungarian competitors won five gold, two silver and four bronze medals at the 2024 European Universities Rowing Championships held in Zagreb between 29 and 31 August, putting Hungary at the top of the medal table, ahead of Germany and Croatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hungarian athletes competed in the continental championships, representing Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University and four institutions from the capital (Budapest University of Technology and Economics, E\u00f6tv\u00f6s Lor\u00e1nd University, P\u00e1zm\u00e1ny P\u00e9ter Catholic University, Hungarian University of Sports Science). Sz\u00e9chenyi University won two gold, one silver and three bronze medals, while the Hungarian University of Sport Science celebrated two gold medals and ELTE one. The host University of Zagreb topped the medal table with two gold, two silver and one bronze medal, followed by Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/admissions.sze.hu\/images\/News\/2024_09\/evez%C5%91seb_K%C3%A9p1.jpg\" alt=\"evez\u0151seb_K\u00e9p1.jpg\" title=\"evez\u0151seb_K\u00e9p1.jpg\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>The Hungarian delegation excelled at the European Championships on Lake Jarun in Zagreb (Photo: Gy\u0151r Athletics Club)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Hungarian Rowing Federation placed significant emphasis on the competition, viewing the advancement of university rowing as a key strategic goal.
