The opening of the Pedr\u00f3-Inno Bakery and Bistro at the Innovation Park of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University in Gy\u0151r serves both the citizens of the university and the city.<\/strong> The shop, which was officially opened on 24 April and offers quality food and drinks, is a joint venture between Pannon Famulus Ltd, wholly owned by the institution, and Pedr\u00f3 P\u00e9ks\u00e9g Ltd.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gy\u0151r’s once legendary biscuit and wafer factory is still remembered by locals, many of whom recall the delicious smell of vanilla wafer and silk sugar that used to fill the neighbourhood. This past is also evoked by the Pedr\u00f3-Inno Bakery and Bistro, which has opened in the Gy\u0151r Innovation Park, a former factory warehouse converted by Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The national ribbon was cut by Dr. Tam\u00e1s Kolossv\u00e1ry, Head of the University’s Innovation Park in Gy\u0151r, Szabolcs Szeles, Deputy Mayor of Gy\u0151r, R\u00f3bert Bal\u00e1zs Simon, Member of Parliament, Roland Tukacs, employee of Pedr\u00f3 Bakery Ltd., P\u00e9ter Vajda, owner of Pedr\u00f3 Bakery Ltd. and Kelemen S\u00e1rai-Szab\u00f3, Benedictine Prior of Gy\u0151r.<\/em> The Prior blessed the shop.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the inauguration ceremony, P\u00e9ter Vajda, CEO of Pedr\u00f3 Bakery Ltd., thanked the developers and contractors, as well as Dr. B\u00e1lint Filep, President of the University, for choosing them as partners for the joint venture. „We offer hospitality here that makes every visitor happy.<\/em> Not only can they enjoy a breakfast or a good loaf of bread to take home, but there is also the opportunity to entertain groups of friends and family<\/em>,” he said. He added that they are indebted to the staff of the university. „It’s great working together, we learn every day and we keep getting better.<\/em> It not only strengthens our business, but it also makes Gy\u0151r, the county and our country better<\/em>,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

R\u00f3bert Bal\u00e1zs Simon, Member of Parliament for Gy\u0151r, said that he is proud of the city’s development and that the innovation park has also given space to a Hungarian-owned small business in addition to large international companies. „I am sure that our guests will leave here satisfied<\/em>,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Szabolcs Szeles, deputy mayor of Gy\u0151r, Gy\u0151r-Sziget’s municipal representative, said that the district has developed a lot in the recent period and has regained its old splendour. „It is a fantastic perspective that Sziget has become a university district with the innovation park and that the area is coming to life again<\/em>,” he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pedr\u00f3-Inno Bakery and Bistro offers freshly baked breads, rolls, buns, pastries, speciality langallos, coffee and alcoholic drinks. The shop, which also has a terrace, is open every day except Sunday: from Monday to Thursday from 6 am to 8 pm, and on Friday and Saturday from 6 am to midnight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
