Gy\u0151r v\u00e1rosvezet\u00e9se a hatvanas \u00e9vekben azt\u00e1n jelent\u0151s fejleszt\u00e9seket tervezett R\u00e9vfaluba. A falusias be\u00e9p\u00edt\u00e9s\u0171 ter\u00fclet foly\u00f3parti r\u00e9sze alkalmasnak t\u0171nt egy magash\u00e1zas lak\u00f3telep elhelyez\u00e9s\u00e9re. Ez v\u00e9g\u00fcl elmaradt, helyette 1971 \u00e9s 1977 k\u00f6z\u00f6tt meg\u00e9p\u00fclt a Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n Egyetem jogel\u0151d int\u00e9zm\u00e9nye, a gy\u0151ri K\u00f6zleked\u00e9si \u00e9s T\u00e1vk\u00f6zl\u00e9si M\u0171szaki F\u0151iskola.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A h\u00edd t\u00f6bb szempontb\u00f3l is egyedi \u00e9s a gy\u0151rieknek is kedves volt. Nem csak a formai hasonl\u00f3s\u00e1g miatt bec\u00e9zt\u00e9k \u201cKisb\u00f6sk\u00e9\u201d-nek, hanem mert (takar\u00e9koss\u00e1gi okokb\u00f3l) a budapesti Erzs\u00e9bet h\u00edd k\u00e1belanyag\u00e1nak marad\u00e9k\u00e1b\u00f3l k\u00e9sz\u00fclt, \u00edgy val\u00f3ban annak \u201ckistestv\u00e9re\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gy\u0151r v\u00e1rosa azt\u00e1n 2010-ben megval\u00f3s\u00edtotta R\u00e9vfalu \u00e9s Sziget \u00e1lland\u00f3, g\u00e9pkocsiforgalom sz\u00e1m\u00e1ra is alkalmas \u00f6sszek\u00f6t\u00e9s\u00e9t. Ennek azonban a gyalogosh\u00edd \u00e1ldozatul esett. Az\u00f3ta egykori helye mellett, a r\u00e9vfalui oldalon \u201celtemetve\u201d \u00e1ll \u00f6nmaga eml\u00e9km\u0171ve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The P\u00e1l V\u00e1s\u00e1rhelyi pedestrian bridge, known to most as \u201eErzs\u00e9bet Kis- \/Kisb\u00f6zske-bridge\u201d was built in 1969, and connected the R\u00e9vfalu and Gy\u0151r-Sziget districts until 2010. Then, it was replaced with a road bridge. It was on this route, where most of the traffic was going through, headed from Szigetk\u00f6z to Gy\u0151r, but until 1888 the passengers could only take a ferry ride here. After the pressure coming from the merchants of Gy\u0151r, \u2013 who already urged the city to build a bridge from they year 1860 \u2013 the first crossing place was built, the \u201eten-legged\u201d wooden bridge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city management of Gy\u0151r then started to implement major developements in R\u00e9vfalu. The river banks of the village-like area seemed ideal to locate a high-rise apartment complex here. Then, instead of the apartment complex, between 1971 and 1977, the legal predecessor of the Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University, the Transportation and Telecommunication Faculty of Technical Sciences<\/a> had been built.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The bridge was unique and dear for the people of Gy\u0151r for many reasons. Not only  was it called \u201dKisb\u00f6ske\u201d, because of its similarity in shape, but (for economic reasons) also it was made from the remainings of the cable materials of the Erzs\u00e9bet bridge in Budapest, so it really is the \u201elittle sibling\u201d of the latter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The city of Gy\u0151r then achieved the connection between the R\u00e9vfalu and Sziget districts in 2010, which is suitable for car trafiic as well. For this to be possible, the pedestrian bridge paid the price. Since then, next to its former place, it\u2019s own memorial is standing \u201dburied\u201d, on the side of R\u00e9vfalu.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
