Approximately 500 graduates of the Ap\u00e1czai Csere J\u00e1nos Faculty of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University received their degrees at two graduation ceremonies held on 16 July in the Gy\u0151r University Sports Hall. During the events, students were recognised for their outstanding academic achievements and contributions to the University community.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his welcome address, Dr Attila Pongr\u00e1cz, Dean of the Faculty, noted that throughout the 248 years since its establishment in 1778, the core mission of teacher education in Gy\u0151r has been the cultivation of human values. „Today, our portfolio includes nine bachelor\u2019s programmes, among them International Relations and Sociology, both available in English; five master\u2019s programmes, including the Human Resource Counselling programme launched in English; as well as more than twenty postgraduate specialist education programmes,”<\/em> he said. He added that value transfer and innovation are the twin pillars of the University\u2019s educational mission. The Dean congratulated the graduates on successfully overcoming the challenges of their studies and concluded by greeting the international students in English.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On behalf of the graduating class, K\u00edra Kamilla Tank\u00f3 and Mariia Remizova delivered farewell speeches at the morning ceremony, while Sarolta M\u00e1ria Szab\u00f3 addressed the audience at the afternoon ceremony. The events were enriched by performances from students of the Dance and Visual Arts Primary School, Vocational Secondary School and Dormitory, maintained by Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremonies also included the presentation of Student Union awards. The \u201cLecturer for Students\u201d<\/em> Award was presented to Dr Orsolya Z\u00e1br\u00e1di D\u0151ryn\u00e9 in recognition of her outstanding contribution to teaching. The Pro Progressum<\/em> commemorative certificate was awarded to Edina Eisenhoffer, an undergraduate student of International Studies and member of the Arrabona Racing Team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Pro Auditoribus<\/em> certificate was awarded to Attila Kiss (International Studies), Borb\u00e1la Illy, Klaudia Pimper and Anna Szukop (Special Needs Education), \u00c1ron G\u00e1bor P\u00f6l\u00f6skei-Ember (Community Organisation), and Kriszti\u00e1n Antal, Bence Szab\u00f3 and Sarolta M\u00e1ria Szab\u00f3 (Recreation Management and Health Promotion). K\u00edra Kamilla Tank\u00f3, a Primary Education student, received the Pro Auditoribus Bronze distinction, while Mil\u00e1n Istv\u00e1n Malomsoki, an undergraduate student of Recreation Management and Health Promotion, received the Pro Auditoribus Silver distinction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The two ceremonies concluded with the presentation of diplomas and the graduates\u2019 formal oath.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
