The Doctoral School of Regional- and Business Administration Sciences at Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University recently held a meeting of its core members. During the event, participants expressed their gratitude to Professor L\u00edvia Mih\u00e1lyka Ablonczyn\u00e9 for her committed work as a core member, and to Dr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Koml\u00f3si for his dedicated service as Head of the SZEEDSM <\/sup>doctoral programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Those present were welcomed by Professor Dr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Vasa, Head of the Doctoral School, who praised the two professors for their decades of academic contribution. Dr L\u00edvia Mih\u00e1lyka Ablonczyn\u00e9, who currently also supervises seven doctoral candidates, emphasised her intention to remain actively involved in supporting doctoral education and academic research. \u201cIn the future, I would also like to contribute to strengthening international research networks and to publish even more than I have done so far,\u201d<\/em> she remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Dr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Koml\u00f3si played a key role in the development and operation of the SZEEDSM <\/sup>programme. In his reflection, the professor recalled that this doctoral programme was launched in 2015, with the first cohort of students beginning their studies in 2016. \u201cOver the past years, together with numerous colleagues, we have worked to develop the programme, strengthen recruitment processes, and build an international student community,\u201d<\/em> he highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The meeting of the core members of Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University’s Doctoral School of Regional- and Business Administration Sciences also saw the announcement of several new members joining the body (Photo: M\u00e1t\u00e9 Dud\u00e1s)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n The addition of several new core members was also announced at the meeting. In the future, the work of the Doctoral School will be strengthened by Dr Tibor D\u0151ry, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Management and Marketing at the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics; Professor Dr R\u00f3bert Magda, Professor at the Department of International and Applied Economics; Dr G\u00e1bor Szab\u00f3-Szentgr\u00f3ti, Associate Professor and Vice-Dean for Research Organisation and Publications at the Kautz Faculty; and Dr Eszter Luk\u00e1cs, Vice-President for International Affairs and Strategic Relations at Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University. At the same time, Dr G\u00e1bor Szab\u00f3-Szentgr\u00f3ti will take over the leadership of the English-taught SZEEDSM <\/sup>doctoral programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The core members also elected the members of the Doctoral School Council. Dr G\u00e1bor Szab\u00f3-Szentgr\u00f3ti joined the decision-making body as a new internal member, while Dr Zolt\u00e1n Csed\u0151, Professor and Head of Department at Corvinus University of Budapest, joined as an external member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Doctoral School has undergone significant development in recent years. An increasing number of foreign experts are being involved in teaching and specialised seminar activities, the number of high-quality international publications is growing, and there is rising interest in their Hungarian and English-language doctoral programmes.
