Students enrolled in the undivided five-year business programme of the private French institution IDRAC Business School recently visited Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University. The group of nearly twenty first-year management students was welcomed by the leadership and staff of the Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics with a range of professional and leisure programmes.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Kautz Gyula Faculty of Business and Economics at Sz\u00e9chenyi Istv\u00e1n University maintains an extensive international network, in which partnerships between academic staff play a significant role. An excellent example of this is the long-standing collaboration<\/a> between Dr G\u00e1bor Szab\u00f3-Szentgr\u00f3ti, Vice-Dean for Scientific Organisation, and Dr Jessica Lichy, professor at IDRAC Business School in France. Thanks to this cooperation, nearly twenty French students recently visited Gy\u0151r as part of an international study trip.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The students came to Hungary from the institution\u2019s \u201cGrande \u00c9cole\u201d in Lyon \u2013 an undivided five-year programme \u00ad\u2013 to gain first-hand experience of the country\u2019s economic, business and cultural environment. The programme contributed to the development of intercultural competences and provided insight into the functioning of both the academic and corporate sectors. Among other experiences, participants gained an overview of the activities of the University\u2019s strategic partner, Audi Hungaria. The visit established a solid foundation for strengthening student mobility and expanding cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the group were also introduced in detail to the faculty by Dean Dr S\u00e1ndor Remsei and Vice-Dean for International Affairs and Accreditation Dr Judit Koltai. The latter presented the history of the Faculty, highlighting its internationalisation efforts. \u201cWe have more than 90 lecturers and 2,500 students, around ten percent of whom have come to Gy\u0151r from abroad. An increasing number of our programmes are available in English, offering attractive opportunities for international students. In addition to our undergraduate programmes in Business Administration and Management, International Business Economics, and Tourism and Catering, we also offer master\u2019s programmes in Supply Chain Management, Marketing, International Economics and Business, and Tourism Management in English,\u201d<\/em> she explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of the study trip, the French students also met members of the Faculty\u2019s colleges for advanced studies \u2013 the Kautz Gyula Residential College of Economics and the Sz\u00e9ll K\u00e1lm\u00e1n Residential College of Economics and Data Science\u2013 creating an opportunity for direct professional and cultural exchange. The organisation of the programme was significantly supported by college leaders Dr Tam\u00e1s Vink\u00f3czi and Dr L\u00e1szl\u00f3 Buics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Denis Broliquier, academic director of the Grande \u00c9cole programme and professional leader of the group, they received a very warm welcome from the University\u2019s staff and students. \u201cThe high level of technology here is impressive. This is not the first contact between our institutions, but this visit has further strengthened our intention to cooperate. These three days were enough to demonstrate the significant potential in the partnership, whether through student exchange programmes or other forms of collaboration,\u201d<\/em> he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the French students, M. Nouroudine Sarakatou Hammo, praised the University\u2019s diversity, technology-focused approach and student-centred environment. \u201cI particularly like that, alongside studying, there are so many opportunities for sport on campus. I also found the laboratories and the work of student teams very interesting,<\/em>\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His fellow student, Antoine Mai Lam, also highlighted the calm atmosphere of the city, noting that Gy\u0151r is much more peaceful than Budapest and that people are friendlier. \u201cThe University is huge, and students here have a wide range of opportunities. Getting to know the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Engineering was one of my favourite parts, and I find its relationship with Audi to be unique,\u201d<\/em> he emphasised. He added that during their visit they were also introduced to the activities of the Arrabona Racing Team<\/a>, which he described as a truly special experience.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
